Obituary

Daddy, you blew everyone’s expectations.
20.5 years ago they gave you 3 months to live. 1.5 months into it we received the call that you had a heart waiting for you.  They gave you 10 years max and you doubled that.
Along the way we have had a lot of bumpy roads but your love to live always surpassed it.
9 years ago you needed a booster and we overcame a pacemaker insert.
5 years ago to this exact date you were bite by a mosquito (west Nile), 4 months in a coma and 8 months on life support.  They told us you were brain dead and you would never know who we are, told us to pull the plug 4 times.  But we stuck together as a family and held your hand, and by your side you showed us all what the power of family and miracles truly were.
2 years later you came out of that hospital with so much will power to live.
7 weeks ago you were diagnosed with Lung Cancer with 4-8 months to live.  Though you didn’t leave us due to that but to an infection, you got tired in life.  All the suffering all the pain has finally ended.
All though today we are here today not by choice we will keep all the memories that we were able to celebrate that we were able to create with the extra 20.5 years of life that was given to you because someone donated there heart.  You had a love to travel; so much we lost count of how many times you packed your bags.  I was lucky enough to go on a few of these trips.
You were here to see both Harry and I get married.  I’ll never forget how much you tried and all you went through to walk me down the isle and to have my daddy and daughter dance.
Over the last 6 years you have seen 3 beautiful grandchildren that loved to call you vovo, Ethan, Emily, & Capri-Rose.
We are all sad to see you go, the suffering has ended and you went so peacefully with the presence of Mommy, Harry, Teresa, Sandro, and your Little Girl.  We know you are watching over all of us with that beautiful contagious smile.  It didn’t matter what you were going through every time we said “cheese” you would show us that amazing smile.
So on that note we say Farewell and on a count of 3 we all say “cheese”, 1, 2, 3..

We’ll always remember
that special smile,
that caring heart,
that warm embrace,
you always gave us.
You being there
for Mom and us,
through good and bad times,
no matter what.
We’ll always remember
you Dad because
they’ll never be another one
to replace you in our hearts,
and the love we will always
have for you.
Dad you always showed strength and love right up until your last days with us.  I hope that one day, when I die, my children can look back,
tell funny stories about me, and talk about how I loved them and their mother.  Then, like my father, I will have led a complete life.
To my 3 angels in heaven vovo is coming
I’ll never say bye,
I know you will be by our side
everyday of our lives.
Love you
Pai, Daddy, vovo
