Obituary

Born July 1, 1966 in Regina SK, died peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of June 21, 2018 at home in Toronto. Brian is reunited with his beloved grandparents Anton and Eve Ritter and Michael and Olga Chase. He leaves behind a wealth of family and friends who are grateful to have shared a life well and fully lived: his mother, A. Leona Chase; his father M. Brian Chase and stepmother Lynne; his wife, Ishbel Halliday and her family; his sister Jocelyn Kuper, her husband Shaul and children Rachel, Shoshana, Avi, Rivka and Joshua; Dianne, Drew, Samantha and family of Peterborough; Patrick and the boys of Bloor Street. We would like to thank Dr. Inman and the team at Toronto Western for their compassion and care over the last thirty years, and Bob and Colleen Tedford who shared their little piece of heaven on Stoney Lake, where Brian and Gracie will forever be fishing. Visitation Friday June 29, 2 – 4 pm at Cardinal Funeral Home, 366 Bathurst Street, and a gathering to bid farewell on Saturday, June 30, 1:00 pm at the Spoke Club, 600 King Street West.  In lieu of flowers, Brian would appreciate donations to the Toronto Western Hospital and the Toronto Humane Society.

We have known Brian for many years. Always a pleasure dealing with Brian. Brian was firstly our client but then developed into a friend as well. He will be missed. RIP Brian. Sincerely, John Esteves and all the staff at Downtown Lumber and Downtown Rental.
