Gilbert shela-yona I am sorry for your loss,I have known Edwin for 15 years. It was one early morning when Edwin walked in to my newly open glass shop on Bathurst street ,looking for a glass shower for one of his project that he was working on. We connected right away and Edwin became not just a customer but a friend ,brother and a mentor for me. He advised me on many things ,also introduced me to some of his designers and architects to work with. He was truly an open mind guy with a big heard and very knowledgeable.Edwin and I were the most of the time communicating in French, once in a while during our conversation,he will direct his staff in English and sometimes his cell phone will ring and here he is responding in Spanish,I was amazed of his multiples talent. Edwin visited me at my new location in Scarborough,he came all the way there riding his scooter.I said to him “Edwin you must be careful riding in this city with this”he just laugh and responded “I have my helmet” We talked about my new working space and he talked passionately about his recent trip in Europe ,how he was going to reduce working hard and enjoy life. Repose en paix mon ami. Gilbert.
