Matkowski, Maria – Passed away suddenly at home on January 4^th, 2018 in her 85^th year. Predeceased by her loving husband, Volodymyr in 2001 and her precious granddaughters Tamara and Alexandra. Beloved mother of Anna (Michael) Simonyi, Irene (Roman) Litwinchuk and Lesia (George) Pimentel. Loving grandmother of Zorianna, Stefan, Cassandra, Sabrina, Zachary and Rebecca and great-grandmother of Nikola. Cherished sister of Anna, Mykola and Jaroslaw. Maria will be greatly missed by her extended family and friends in Canada, the United States, Poland and Ukraine. Family and friends are invited  to the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette St. (east of Keele) for visitation on Monday, January 8^th from 6-9 p.m. and Tuesday, January 9^th from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. with Panachyda at 8:00 p.m. on both days. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 10^th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 300 River Oaks Blvd. E., Oakville with interment to follow at St. Volodymyr Cemetery, Oakville.
