Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Luis Manuel Ferreira announce his passing at the age of 72, on Thursday July 12th, 2018 at Toronto General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Luis will be forever remembered by his devoted wife of 50 years, Maria do Carmo Ferreira, his loving daughters Grace Ferreira Gauvin, Lisete Ferreira Culley and Sandy Ferreira Ventrice, his admiring son-in-laws Roger Gauvin, Troy Culley and Natale Ventrice and his adoring grandchildren, Amanda Gauvin, Jesse Gauvin (Sofia Guevara), Lauren Culley, Sydney Gauvin, Emma Culley, Anthony Ventrice, Joseph Ventrice, Isabella Ventrice and Samara Rambarran. Born in Água de Pau, São Miguel, Açores to Antonio and Maria Joaquina Ferreira he immigrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1971 with his family. He was the Head Houseman at The Inn On The Park Hotel for 30 years until his retirement 7 years ago. A loving family man, adored by all privileged to know him, Luis will always be remembered for his kindness, gentle nature and big heart. Above all else, he cherished his family; the love he shared with his wife was his whole reason for being. He will be greatly missed.
